Are you a skilled people manager with a passion for horticulture? We are looking for an experienced team leader to join our Wellington team. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to showcase your leadership, expertise, and dedication to maintaining beautiful gardens and grounds.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead an experienced team to deliver high-quality horticultural services
  • Plan and coordinate regular and seasonal garden, turf, and grounds maintenance
  • Communicate directly with clients to ensure exceptional service
  • Maintain health and safety policies on site
  • Carry out general gardening and grounds care, including weeding, planting, mowing, edging, hard surface clearing, irrigation repairs, hedge trimming, and minor tree maintenance
  • Monitor and manage plant health, pests, and diseases using environmentally sustainable methods
  • Order essential materials and supplies
  • Uphold Bark’s core values in all aspects of your work

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • At least three years of gardening experience with a broad skill set
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A positive, proactive, and hard-working attitude
  • A full, clean driver’s licence
  • Comfortable using phones and tablets for work tasks
  • Grow-safe and First Aid certificates are highly regarded (but training can be provided)
