Are you a skilled people manager with a passion for horticulture? We are looking for an experienced team leader to join our Wellington team. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to showcase your leadership, expertise, and dedication to maintaining beautiful gardens and grounds.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead an experienced team to deliver high-quality horticultural services
- Plan and coordinate regular and seasonal garden, turf, and grounds maintenance
- Communicate directly with clients to ensure exceptional service
- Maintain health and safety policies on site
- Carry out general gardening and grounds care, including weeding, planting, mowing, edging, hard surface clearing, irrigation repairs, hedge trimming, and minor tree maintenance
- Monitor and manage plant health, pests, and diseases using environmentally sustainable methods
- Order essential materials and supplies
- Uphold Bark’s core values in all aspects of your work
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- At least three years of gardening experience with a broad skill set
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A positive, proactive, and hard-working attitude
- A full, clean driver’s licence
- Comfortable using phones and tablets for work tasks
- Grow-safe and First Aid certificates are highly regarded (but training can be provided)
